I will try to answer any questions in the comments section. Note: I am no longer updating this profile as I have moved on to the TM Warthog HOTAS. Any mapping changes made will be saved in the game (.User\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config\Input\FA-18C_hornet\joystick) but the profile can also be saved separately using step 3 with "Save profile as". At the bottom "Modifiers" tab, add Throttle buttons 9 and 10 as the two Modifiers.ĥ. Under the drop down menu tab for T.Flight HotasX, select "Load profile" and browse to and select the "a" file.Ĥ. Go to the game's Options/Controls/F/A-18C Sim.ģ. Unzip download and store the "a" profile in any folder.Ģ. Layer 4: (Blue): Press Modifier 1 and Modifier 2 together + desired commandġ. Layer 3: (Green): Press Modifier 2 only + desired command If they work, it is possible you have disabled joysticks for FSX:SE by mistake. Layer 2: (Red): Press Modifier 1 only + desired command Does the joystick work with other games There are a couple of free flight simulators (FlightGear and Google Earth) you can test using your joystick. Layer 1 (Black): Press desired command (no Modifier pressed) Added tables of some miscellaneous sim commands. Replaced padlock commands on stick for cage/uncage, salute, hornet ball.ģ. PowerPoint included so you can customise and reprint diagram.Ģ. Requires 2 Modifier buttons for 4 command layers, axis assignments and TrackIR (or replace Trim commands with POV). Hell I still trying to get that precision and ease on the X-55, but the lots of buttons, throttle stick and sliders are a big help so I still prefer a HOTAS system.F/A-18C Hornet T.Flight Hotas X (Thrustmaster) Profile v2.0 for DCS 2.7 Open Beta. Took only a couple of tries (and deaths) to do it and I got him good on the third fly overflying him with ease because of the good response and precision of the joystick, I was already in total control of the plane even thought I didnt try a T16000 in years, and never more than for testing and setting the thing on my father PC. Two months ago I gifted a copy of BoS on steam to my father and helped him to setup and calibrate his PC (he doesnt speak english neither know about PC tweaking) and made 3 flies on a quickmission fight in a Bf-109F4 against a ACE LaGG-3 to calibrate trackir and response curves on the joystick. Best single joystick ever! Very similar to the MS ones in shape (still they were a little better with a bigger base to grip IMHO) but more precise. So I did some research and bought 2 T16000 (one for my father and another for backup for me or him). When the one on my father hands kicked the bucket I tried to find another one but MS is idiotic on his treatment of gaming hardware, they created excellent products since the 90's but they discontinued a lot of them without a proper replacement after some years (even only 2 years in some cases) on the shelves. Flight Stick X and USB Joystick are OEM joysticks with Tm logo and use different electronics/and due his console compatibility is not TARGET compatible. Seems this two are the only joystick really 'Thrustmaster', the others: T.Flight HOTAS X, T. I had tried quite a lot of joysticks on during my sim life (started on a Commodore 64), I currently have a Saitek X-55 (previous one a trusty Saitek X-52 still going strong after 5 years of abuse, I gift it to a friend) and even thought I was happy when I converted to a HOTAS system from an excellent MS Sidewinder Precision 2 (I bought 3 of these suckers:1 to my father, 1 to me that broke some triggers after several years and another to replace it) sometimes I missed it by its shear simplicity and response. Posted Novem(edited) No, TARGET work only for Warthog/Cougar and T.16000M.
