![]() Rowanstar and Tigerheart made me want to punch something, mostly because I felt they were being even more bull-headed and arrogant then usual. The ShadowClan apprentice gang, (as I have come to call them) really bugged me, (for their entire five pages of page time) though Needlepaw eventully redeemed herself. ~ How annoying every ShadowClan cat had to be. Obviously, we meet some new characters in this book, but was it so bad of me to hope for a mention of how Ivypool was, or who the father of Heathertail's kits was? I also had really high hopes of meeting the rest of the familiar Sk圜lan cats. We kept circling around the same ideas and I was getting annoyed by it. I felt that by the end of the book not much had really been accomplished. ~ Bramblestar's leadership - I felt like he was finally a sure, strong leader. Alderpaw was just unsure enough to be relatable, but not enough to feel annoying or stupid. I loved his unsure, hesitant personality because it was a contrast from the often bold and brash main characters we usually get. I didn't have high expectations for this book, but I would say they were met. (This would take a lot of convincing, not just some magical prophecy) But if they have some other plot going on, I think the series could be interesting. If the series is going to have Sk圜lan returning to be with the other clans, I will not be happy unless they do it in a way which somehow changes my mind. On a redeeming note, this series is supposed to feature Sk圜lan. So since this series is after a good one, I hope it's still good. The New Prophecy and Omen of the Stars were nice as well, just not as well written in my opinion. The Original Arc, Power of Three, and Dawn of the Clans are probably my favorite series. I'll be continuing reading the series, I just hope the writing doesn't take a turn for the worse.Īlso, for me every other series seems to be good, with the ones in between mediocre. I'm reaching a point in my life where these books don't interest me as much anymore, but I'm still reading them but being more critical. The series might be starting to get unnecessarily stretched out. That, the Prophecy of Three's finality, and the fact that "Fire Will Save the Clan" being finished for the final time made me think that after Dawn of the Clans the series would be finished. However, I guess I was under the impression that Bramblestar's Storm was meant to wrap up the story of the Modern Clans and show that they're recovering. They're the series that truly hooked me in on reading. They're action packed, fun, and have characters you love and love to hate. ![]() I've been a fan of Warriors since age 10, and I still love the books. So it's been a bit since I've heard about this new series, and I have mixed feelings. First, here is my before-reading commentary/review.
